The annual Victorian Holiday Tea tradition continues this year in Matthews at the Historic Reid House, 134 W. John St. from Nov. 29 to Dec. 2.
This Christmas tradition, hosted by the Matthews Woman’s Club Service League features tea sandwiches and sweets served on real china in an elegantly-decorated, candle-lit setting with live harp music, Christmas carolers and more. A special Children’s Tea on Sunday will feature Elf on the Shelf activities. Hand-crafted gifts by dozens of local artisans will be available at a special boutique on the Reid House grounds.
The cost is $25 and the league will donate proceeds from the event to local nonprofits.
