The Butler High School DREAM TEAM recently attended an all-day training seminar sponsored by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association.
The DREAM TEAM is a group of 12 senior scholar athletes who are committed to being drug, alcohol, tobacco and violence free while upholding the high standards of moral excellence.
The training seminar was held at the Crews Recreation Center in Matthews and gave valuable hands-on information related to leadership development, role modeling, character building, peer pressure and sportsmanship.
The training will help the team during the school year as they serve as role models in the community and mentor elementary, middle and high school students.
The group will plan and implement lifestyles and decision making for the youth in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area and across North Carolina.
