Unlimited Possibilities in Mint Hill and Wags to Wiskers in Matthews both celebrated grand openings last week.
Charlotte-based Unlimited Possibilities unveiled its Mint Hill assisted-living facility with a a ribbon-cutting, refreshments and live entertainment. The company recently purchased a house at 14009 Thompson Road along with its 17 acres for a future senior living campus with a focus on patients with dementia or Alzheimer’s. The about 6,000-square-foot house was expected to welcome its first live-in guests this week. Each house will accommodate up to six patients.
Unlimited Possibilities provides seniors with full-time care including cooking, bathing, laundry, medications and more and is a partner with Carolinas Healthcare System.
At pet supply store Wags to Wiskers Saturday, Feb. 25, pets and their owners joined in on the celebration which featured giveaways and free snacks for people and pets. Pets are always welcome at the shop in the Matthews Festival shopping center, 1819 Matthews Township Pkwy.
The shop offers food, toys and supplies for dogs, cats and small animals including reptiles. Wags to Wiskers is open
10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
