Central Piedmont Community College’s Institute for Entrepreneurship is accepting reservations for its April 25 “Ready Your Business for the DNC: A Business Preparedness Workshop.”
The event is free, but advanced registration in required.
Kenneth Clark of Recall North American and Robyn Hamilton with the Democratic National Convention will give participants an overview of the potential issues small business owners may encounter when the convention arrives in Charlotte.
During this free event, the pair will discuss:
• the expectations of the DNC, including its visitors, event venues, closures and security.
• the potential impact of the DNC on area businesses.
• possible scenarios, such as transportation disruption, communication system interruption, employee relations issues and more.
• how to create and implement a continuity plan to minimize business interruptions.
The event will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 25 at the college’s central campus, 1206 Elizabeth Ave., in Charlotte.
