The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Advisory Committee is looking for a Mint Hill resident with experience in the financial, accounting or legal industries to volunteer to represent the town.
The volunteer would represent the county’s southern towns, which also include Matthews and Pineville. As a member of the committee, the representative will review and comment to the Mecklenburg County Board of Commissioners and the Charlotte City Council on annual operating budgets, provide an annual report of key actions and issues, hear appeals and reach decisions on service charges, credits and adjustments. The volunteer position also includes responding to council and Board of County Commissioners and staff requests for advice on matters related to the comprehensive storm water quantity and quality management program in Mecklenburg County. The initial term of service is three years.
