The owners of 2.1 acres off Matthews-Mint Hill Road are in negotiations to bring a periodontist and an endodontist to Mint Hill. And the building they will share will face Phyllis Lane, a private street, and include eight-foot wide sidewalks.
Town commissioners approved a conditional zoning Thursday, June 14 to allow Dr. Earle Sullivan, who owns the property with his business partner, Dr. Anastasi “Taso” Roupas, to construct the building. According to the commissioner-approved plans, the building will be allowed to face a private street instead of the public street as the town’s zoning code requires. The doctors also agreed to increase their sidewalk width to eight feet.
The yet-to-be constructed building, across the parking lot from the current Mint Hill Dentistry, would be the “final piece” for the dental complex which began in 2007 with Mint Hill Dentistry, Sullivan said previously.
