St. John Neumann hosts movie, game nights

St. John Neumann Catholic Church will host a Family Movie Night in the Pavilion and Catholic Family Feud Night this coming week. Both events are free and open to the public.

Sunday, July 22, from 6 to 9 p.m. the church will show a family-friendly movie, likely Dr. Suess-related. The movie will be held in their newly built Pavilion, weather permitting.

Catholic Family Feud Night, Saturday, July 28, from 6 to 8 p.m., will be held at the church in Parish Hall. Families who do not attend the church regularly should call ahead to participate.

Mark your calendar for these VBS events

Cornerstone Baptist Church and St. Luke Catholic Church will each host Vacation Bible Schools Monday, July 16 to Friday, July 20.

Students ages 5 to fifth grade can attend Cornerstone’s free event from 6 to 8:30 p.m. each day. Those who attend do not have to be members of Cornerstone Baptist Church.

During the “Sky-Everything is Possible with God” VBS, children will learn Bible verses, stories and songs, science lessons and help with missions the church is involved in. There also will be team-building exercises.

Cornerstone Baptist Church is located at 8947 Albemarle Road.

St. Luke will host its VBS from 9 a.m. to noon everyday.

Registration is $40 per child, and parents can register their children between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the parish office.

Children will participate in watching live music, making crafts, playing games, reading stories and watching movies.

St. Luke Catholic Church is located at 13700 Lawyers Road in Mint Hill.
