Matthews-based Harris Teeter plans to buy the former PCA International photo-processing building at 815 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, according to a Mecklenburg County regulatory filing.
The building, owned by Missouri’s portrait studio operator Consumer Program Incorporated, or CPI, has agreed to sell the 163,846-square-foot building on almost 16 acres for $2.45 million, according to the filing.
The building, once used for photo developing, includes office space and a warehouse. Conbraco Industries, of Matthews, is leasing warehouse space there now, according to the agreement.
The sale is scheduled to close by Sept. 7.
It wasn’t clear this week how Harris Teeter intends to use the building and spokeswoman Catherine Reuhl said corporate policy prohibited her from discussing the agreement.
