Matthews will host a drop-in public meeting from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Aug. 30 at Matthews Town Hall to get feedback from residents on revisions to the town’s Downtown Master Plan and the Land Use Plan.
The plans answer questions such as: What could Matthews do to improve downtown? What type of architecture should new buildings embrace? What amenities would you like to see in downtown? (grocery store, movie theater, entertainment, parks, etc.) Outside of downtown, what areas or developments in Matthews help to define the Town character, and why? In your opinion, what kind of development does Matthews currently have too much of? Where do most of the traffic problems occur in town?
