Operation Medicine Drop Sept. 29
The Matthews and Mint Hill police departments will offer a free opportunity Saturday, Sept. 29, for area residents to safely dispose of expired or unused medications.
Operation Medicine Drop, a national program organized locally by Safe Kids Charlotte-Mecklenburg and Levine Children’s Hospital, will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Matthews Festival Harris Teeter, 1811 Matthews Township Pkwy., and from noon to 4 p.m. at Walgreens, 9202 Lawyers Road, in Mint Hill. Area residents can drop of medications – prescription or over the counter – during either event.
