More than 100 people gathered near the under-construction North Carolina Korean War Veterans Memorial in Mint Hill for a free concert Friday, July 27 by the Korean Children’s Choir.
The Seoul, South Korea-based choir also performed last week at Matthews United Methodist Church, and in Charlotte at Pritchard Memorial Baptist Church and for the staff of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association at the Billy Graham Library.
The 38-member choir includes nine boys and 29 girls ranging in age from 10 to 14. The students, who don’t speak English, learned to sing all of their songs in English and closed the concert with a rendition of “Jesus Loves Me” after which they went into the audience, offering hugs and saying “I love you!”
