My Chic Party Boutique
Have a girly girl? A new Matthews business is eager to host her next party or girls-only gathering.
Mint Hill resident DeAnna Allen recently opened My Chic Party Boutique at 163 S. Trade St., suite E in Griffin Square. The business offers a place for girls ages 4 to 14 to host their own parties or book an appointment for kid-friendly spa services.
“I noticed that there was a niche for it,” Allen said. “There’s really not a place for girls to be girly. This is a place for girls to be girls and still be kids. There’s so much pressure for kids to grow up so fast. I want them to be able to be creative and just be a kid.”
The business offers themed parties ranging from pajama parties and tea parties to spa parties and zumba or hip-hop parties. They also offer mini-makeovers, manicures, pedicures and more. Individual appointments are available. Children’s manicures are $15, pedicures are $18 and facials are $20. Nail services don’t involve clipping, filing, or cuticle treatments.
“We’ve been very well received. It’s actually growing faster than I expected,” Allen said of the business.

Charity softball game seeks sponsors
Organizers of a charity softball game next month in Mint Hill are looking for area businesses to provide drinks for participants.
