MINT HILL – Mint Hill Dentistry is adding two treatment rooms to its existing office. The company, founded in 1981 off Albemarle Road, has been operating out of its present location at Phyliss Lane and Matthews-Mint Hill Road since 2008.
“We are excited to announce our expansion that will allow us to serve our patients even better,” said Dr. David Sullivan. “Mint Hill is a fast-growing community and we are pleased to be growing, as well.”
With five dedicated hygiene rooms for routine cleanings and five treatment rooms for more complex procedures, the office still has a great demand for appointments. The company expects the rooms to open in July.
Along with the additional floor space, Mint Hill Dentistry will add new staff in July, including front desk and assistant help. The practice will bring on another dentist to join the four already there.
Dr. Chris Ricker, a graduate of Brigham Young University and The Medical University of South Carolina, will begin taking patients once construction is complete.
Mint Hill Dentistry performs check-ups and cleanings, as well more specialized work using the latest technologies, such as constructing implant dentures and surgical molar and wisdom tooth extraction done while under twilight or general anesthesia.
The technology used by Mint Hill Dentistry shines when it comes to its same-day crown service. Getting a crown placed over a tooth typically requires multiple appointments to take the mold and place the permanent crown once it’s received from the lab. Mint Hill Dentistry has a system that creates a harder, better crown from a 3-D scan of the patient’s mouth and then carves the custom tooth shape with a medical-grade CNC machine from a porcelain block. The crown is more durable, looks more natural and is created in about 45 minutes.
