MATTHEWS – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools board member Paul Bailey announced a slate of endorsements for his mayoral campaign.
Bailey received endorsements from U.S. Congressman Robert Pittenger, state senators Jeff Tarte and Dan Bishop, state representatives Bill Brawley and Andy Dulin, former state senator Bob Rucho, County Commissioner Bill James, Matthews Mayor Jim Taylor, Mint Hill Mayor Ted Biggers, town commissioners Chris Melton, John Ross and John Urban, and former mayors Lee Myers and Kress Query.
“Paul Bailey’s 18 years on the Matthews town board, his long business experience, his service on the CMS board, as well his service on the county park and recreation board makes him the perfect choice to represent the Town of Matthews as mayor,” Tarte said. “Paul will do an excellent job representing all the citizens and businesses that choose to make Matthews home.”
