Two former Rocky River High School boys basketball players have recently signed to continue their careers in college, according to former Ravens coach Brandon Blalock.
Matt Ward has signed with Brevard College, and Rob Harvey Jr. inked with Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute in Lenoir.
Ward, a two-year varsity starter, led the Ravens with a 13.6 scoring average last season and was named to the Southwestern 4A all-conference team two consecutive years. The 6-foot-6 forward also averaged 6.9 rebounds, two blocks and 1.7 steals per game.
Harvey Jr. was the Ravens’ second-leading scorer, averaging 11.6 points in his first season on varsity. The 6-3 guard also contributed 2.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. He was also named to the all-conference team this past season and was voted the Ravens’ offensive most valuable player.
